When you receive funds from clients that don’t match any invoice amount, they appear as unallocated funds in the Over/Underpaid Funds section of the Cash Management page. You can capture these funds and apply them to a specific invoice using the improved capture workflow.

Overview

Unallocated funds occur when:
  • A client sends funds that are insufficient to pay any of their invoices
  • Payment amounts don’t exactly match any outstanding invoice
  • Funds are received but cannot be automatically applied
These funds are tracked in the Over/Underpaid Funds section until they can be manually applied to the correct invoice.
