# Create a Policy
Policies exist as their own entities within AI Insurance. They can be attached to multiple [Insureds](/policing/insured-management/creating-insureds) and/or [Events](/events/create-new-events). Further, we support a number of policy types, they are:
* Claims Made
* Claims Made - “Tail” (Reporting Endorsement)
* Claims Made - “Nose” Prior Acts
* Claims Paid
* Occurrence
* Slot Coverage - Claims Made
* Slot Coverage - “Tail” (Reporting Endorsement)
* Slot Coverage - Occurrence
To create a policy, navigate to the **Policies** page by clicking the **Policies** tab on the sidebar.
Click the **New Policy/Quote** button at the top right on the designated **Policies** page to create a policy.
Clicking the **New Policy** button will redirect you to the **Create a Quote** page, as a policy is a bound quote. For instructions on how to create and bind a quote, refer to the official documentation on [creating a Submission](/submissions-and-quotes/creating-a-new-submission/for-carriers).
