# Delete Event Transaction

> Permanently soft-deletes a financial transaction. Unlike voiding, deletion is for transactions that should not have existed at all. Sets `deletedAt` and `deletedBy` on the transaction and recalculates reserves.

**Required permission:** `company.payment:update`
